Now she can do what other girls her age do.
This is real story for the Shriners and what we do with
the funds we raise for the children to defy the odds.

Heidi, after Scoliosis surgery at Shreveport Hospital,

the college she attends.
As a Chaplain and a Pastor, it is my privilege to be called upon to minister to many people who are experiencing physical, emotional, marital, family, and many other problems. No matter what the circumstances may be, they all seek the same result, and that is healing. No matter what steps I may take to help those who ask, I always have prayer with and for them. I cannot heal but God can. I want to share with you five ways in which God heals. 1. Through physicians and surgeons and the wonderful means of medical science. Dr. Walter Bradford Cannon, a noted physiologist writes, "All the healing forces are laid up in the body ready to go into action when needed." 2. God’s healing grace comes through mental suggestions. The mind has a great influence over the body. 3. God brings healing when we surrender our fears, resentments, self-preoccupation, and the guilt which produces disease. 4. God heals by the direct touch of his spirit upon our bodies. 5. His final cure is the resurrection when our mortal bodies put on immortality. When our infirmities are not healed we need to remember that God will give us the grace and power to use them. That often requires even more grace than does healing. The Bible contains many passages of Scripture which support these truths. Allow me to share but one of them with you. In Psalm 30, verse 2, David writes: "Oh Lord my God, I cried to Thee for help, and Thou didst heal me." Is there healing that needs to take place in your life or in the life of someone you care about? If so, surrender these burdens and concerns to God and allow Him to demonstrate His love. Also, feel free to contact me and I will do everything within my ability to assist you in your quest for healing. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow!"
